I am constantly learning new things in my job if I’m being honest! Although I tend to go on 2-3 training courses a year to learn about new things and softwares.

I usually do some kind of training every year. Either something technical or what we call soft skills (things like people management, presentation skills etc).

We make satellites out of various things. Pipes made of titanium with aluminium tape to aide thermal conduction, velcro to hold things & carbon fibre for structure. We often use special kinds of paints and coatings on things.

Our telecommunications satellites are made for a 15 year lifetime but they usually last for longer.
